For some reason, it seems that every single day at work, I have to deal with a jackass that wants something handed to them.

This is a real conversation I had the other day:

Lady- my signal lights don't work

Me- ok, that's no problem- what kind of car is it?

Lady- 97 Accord

Me- Ok, what did you have installed?

Lady- nothing.

Me- Um....ok? What would you like me to do?

Lady- well, I bought a satellite radio from here, and had my son in law install it, and now the lights don't work. Can you fix them?

Me- I can take a look. I have to charge you for looking at it, and I can't guarantee anything to work, since we didn't install anything.

Lady- Why do I have to pay? I bought it here??!?!?!?

Me- We didn't install anything. If you don't want to pay anything, have your son in law fix whatever he did wrong

She ended up paying for me to fix her lights...

Then, this happened later that day:

guy- I want to have this radio and this CD Changer installed in my car.

me- ok, installation will be $110+parts

guy- why do I have to pay for installation? I had it installed by you guys in my other car...why do I have to pay again?

me- ....because you want it installed....?

guy- isn't it free to install it again?

me- no, we will uninstall anything we have installed prior for free.

guy- well, I took it out myself, can't you count that towards a new install so I don't have to pay?

me- no, no one told you that if you took it out you don't have to pay for some odd reason. It's $110+ parts if you want it installed.

guy- what parts? I don't need any parts, I have them already

me- do you have the same car that you had before?

guy- no, different car

me- then you will need a new dash kit and a new wiring harness

guy- why?

me-....because it's a different car

ended up not doing it...

the frist lady was quite funny, but thas harsh i know how annoying customers cna be. imagine seeing a guy try to fight your boss becuase he couldnt get a remote for his tv for free

we got a customer like that everyday, make some enjoyment out of em. Be as polite as possible so they get more and more pissed off. it worked for me cus pissed off people are funny

I can admit I am one of them pricks when it comes to a audio shop. Not a prick but if I buy something and they want to install it for me and I say no thanks, I can do it myself and then they get all over you about you know you got to do this and that etc. I understand there tryn to make some cash but when enough is enough.

Not saying you snova, but some shops in this area they make there cut off the install. So if no install no big cut and these guys get pushy.

Oh, I know, if people tell me they are installing it themselves, I don't have a problem with that at all...have fun lol.

Cheap people are funny, speaiclly ANGRY cheap people

as far as local shops installing, I gurantee i know more then they ever thoguht about knowing, one guy uses those scotchlock things for installing cd players (you know the lil blue things) and the other guy doesn't use solder,just pigtails the wires and tapes them, I have even seen an install where he used scotch tape.

people are always looking for hand outs. the worst was when i worked at a car wash. i know its funny but still u would be amazed on how many people want there rims cleaned and wheel shinny and will give you no tip for it.
