i gotta a question on the better audio amp

sumone told me that it required 1 gauge wire, would 4 gauge work fine on it, i just recently bought it, b/c i was planinng on getting the jbl 1200.1, untill this amp come up, so what should i do, some one on here told me to run 4 gauge all the way to the back and then run 1 gauge from the distrib block to the amp and make it short as possible, then have a 1 gauge ground, was that right?? or will 4 gauge all the way work???

the amp accepts 4awg in the hole.....not 1/0

oh ok thanks, what size inline fuse should i use, i have a 60 amp and a 80 amp fuse already, should i get a higher one

not sure what kind of current it draws.....

i'd say run the 1/0 to the back into a dist block, and then 4 gauge from there to the amp. use a 125a fuse up front, and a 80a at the block

if ur amp is fairly close to battery then u shouldn't have much trouble using 4 ga

The LARGEST wire the 1200.1 accepts (biggest wire) is 4 gauge
