it happened at wrk..no one knew of my merlin amp....they probably heard me when i had my 1606d in and well with the merlin the got even luckier...my insurance was only liability so im f***ed.....and im going to find this f***er....tyler is a small city...i kno people who kno people who kno people....i will my stuff..at least hopefully...

That sucks bro. The first thing I did when I got my car was to put in a high-end alarm before I even so much as bought front speakers. I also avoid playing it at volume around my job/home for obvious reasons. Good luck

Not all alarms scare off theives. Ask me how I know..........since you didn't ask, I had close to 400 dollars in alarms on my car and they still stole the car.....lost my *** on that car as it was my competition car and only reason I drove that one was because my DD had a flat tire and needed to get to work quick! I wish I would have changed my tire.

I secure my amps and shit using allenhead screws. You can also fill in the screw heads with plaster and then paint them black and noone will be able to figure out how to remove them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Then if you need to remove it, the plaster can be cracked with a point or nail or something. But most of the time ******s dont carry allen wrenches anyhow so thats a good thing in itself. Also, try screwing the box down from the inside with some long self tappers before you install your subs in it if possible.

That sucks, I remember I had a buddy in high school who had one of those Merkur xr4ti's. Had just installed his system (sub, amp and deck), left his car in their attached garage and went to bed. Some time during the night somebody broke into one of the other cars that was parked outside, hit the door opener, broke into his car and jacked his sh1t. The car hadn't even left the garage since his system was installed! They made a mess of the dash too ripping the deck out.

my subs....my box....my merlin amp that i had just installed.....on stolen on my birthday...window was broken..no security alarm...had latch for trunk locked but they broke it..this is bs....

From your avatar I thought you were Cameron_B. Sorry this shit happened to you, but alarm should have been one of the first things you did before you installed your system.

The brothers wanted my 85 cutlass on 20's with over 5500g's in audio and 1700 dollars in rims and tires............and I had two alarms on my ride.

If they are good enough and want it, they will take it. Alarms don't do shit to some scumbag who is either really good at jacking cars or someone that is desperate.

Just to prove it, I had 3 different systems in my Focus in 3 years now and no alarm, yet never been messed with. It's called being smart where you play it and not sticking out like a sore thumb.
