Riiiiiight not quality guns. Sorry i didnt wanna drop 800 bucks into a gun that i just play around sometimes with.
Spyder is good quality, there simplistic and alot easier to work on than most of the higher end guns that you are refering to. This gun features eyes and a Anti-Chop bolt which is a nice feature. It also came running LP out of the box. So tell me where I went wrong spending 230 bucks on a gun that does EXACTLY what i need.

Spyder has a reputation of making cheap guns. What you're saying to me is, for instance, that SONY has come out with a new line of Xplod subwoofers..... still pretty shitty if you ask me.

Spyders are not high quality guns. There are a million guns you could have gotten for that price, that would outpreform that gun anyday.

O.k. so the pyle comment was a little harsh, How about comparing SONY to DD...

ha the only thing spyder has going for them is how cheap their markers normally are. They are just mainstreem in most wal-marts(where most people see them) Just like buying a new amp or sub, you should probably want to check around to see whats out there first.

Also, the higher end guns are really easy to work on. Just pull up a schematic from the company website, and you know exactally what part goes where.

Pbnation.com has a ton of guns for sale that are just as cheap and would rip that gun apart in all aspects...

Why does it need an anti chop bolt if it already has eyes? If you have the eyes, there is no way that you can chop balls, unless the eyes were faulty (OR CHEAP)

Actually no...Spyder is known for making High Quality Inexpensive guns. Yeah they may not perform as good as more expensive markers, but they ****ing last forever, and they shoot pretty **** good.

I mean your trying to compare a mid level gun to a high end gun...

You cant call its a pos just because its not made to perform with higher end guns. Thing of the kingman like a Commuter car. It serves its purpose for some people. They dont need a corvette or a BMW. Doesnt make there commuter car a POS just because its not high end...

high end guns use air solenoids. last time i played, about a year ago, spyders were still sear clickers.

Just because it uses a blow back design doesnt make it a bad design. It's a proven quality design. I never said it was a HIGH end gun, it isnt. It is however a good midlevel design.

But I do agree that dumping huge amounts of money into a Spyder is an ignorant thing to do. I am selling my vs3 now, not because i dislike the gun, but because I would like a lighter gun that will have a much better resell value after I upgrade it.

You remind me of the many kids I used to play with when we had a speedball field here. I would tell them that I had a Spyder and they would laugh and say thats junk. Most of the people I play with use Ion's and while there fixing banjo fittings and wondering why there marker has falloff I'm on the field playing.

So in conclusion I find dealing with a little kick is a good compromise for reliability

For that. there is no reason to have a $1000 gun or even a $500 gun. I have a spyder and also a Mini-Mag. The spyders perfect for just going out and messing around.

The price is alot higher than other spyders because it does have some different parts than the entry level spiders. Eyes + rocking trigger frame and being able to upgrade the board so that it has ramping and a few other new features makes it a bit more expensive

Yes but I discovered a Speedball field 30 mins from my house that hosts tournaments, and the rocking trigger on the VS3 was deemed illegal so now I must buy a new gun. plain blowback operated guns with electronic sear trippers

the only way you can make a blowback operated marker as efficient or as fast as an electro pnuematic is by makking a spimmy (essentialy a spyder/intimidator hybrid)

that process is complicated and a waste of money (wow, i sed waste of money and im into car audio)

not necciceraly (sp)

when youre hot spottin or blazin off the break you're not working about being accurate

its more about throwin as much paint at where you think theyre going to be running

or else i use high bps rates as a sort of supression fire

but thats all when i play speed ball

woods ball is a different story

my woodsball marker isnt even electric (mag SPECOPS LONGBOW)

i've owned many spyders in the past, never liked any of them...from shockers, angels, timmy's and cockers i've never been in love with any of my guns as much as this one, it's my only remaining one for a reason.
