I got a BONG today

Goose and sky are like Absolut. Great marketing campaigns behind a so-so liquor. Not bad but not necessarily good or worth their cost. Of course that is all subjective. If you like it, then it is good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Yeah those vodkas have 'Bling appeal' with a lot of people for some reason.

Call me crazy but expensive alcohol should be worth it in taste not image...

If I'm feeling budget minded I really am a fan of Svedka. Showed up about a year or two ago and its only about 16 bucks for a 750. Nice and clean for the price.

Thats why I like lusksosowa. It is a mid-priced vodka that rivals many above it. I bought this just to try and see. It is obviously a marketing gimmick though. Alcohol should be graded on taste towards its classification not bottle. Unfortunatley many will follow gimmicks and marketing campaigns //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I'm with you I've been looking for good potato based vodka's for a while- most seem to be of the grain variety. I must admit however I've been on more of a rum search as of late..picked up some el dorado - 12 year stuff..haven't picked up the 15 yet. Its a really nice tasting rum from what I've tasted so far. Been doing the rum and coke thing with it. I think I'll just try it straight tonight. Its that good. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I am the opposite lol. I was on the rum kick up until last year, I have friends from island nations who bring me some good local(in the islands) produced rum. I already pretty much ran the gamut on that and am now flavoring vodkas. If Potato vodka is what you want then Chopin is tops. and Lusksusowa is great for its price. Other then that you run out of choices for Potato vodka lol. Grains are over abundant. Many are good though.

Well I tried it. I just finished a martini of bong vodka. Straight martini. Shaken over ice and thats it. Nothing added. No dirty and no vermouth.

conclusion:

Definitely a bitch vodka. It has a heavy wheat flavor(akin to grey goose). It has nearly no BURN(hence the bitch label I put on it). However it should have at least a momentary burn to me(this is alcohol after all). The sweet wheat flavor would go great with fruity martinis for bitches(much like my sentiment for ciroc). This isn't a straight shot or martini type vodka as it has a complimentary taste to it. If you don't like any burn and want some sort of taste in your vodka then this may be for you. It isn't nearly dry or tasteless enough for me to drink as a true vodka. In fact the burn is so mild, I question its 80 proof rating lol. It may very well be the least burning liquor I have drank when properly chilled. It is a good liquor though(which is my same conclusion for ciroc).

You may now continue with other useless banter in the lounge.

This thread made me go buy a 750ml of Chopin haha.

In my freezer right now. Gonna make some dirty martinis with it though, got some vermouth and olive brine; I know that is sacrilege for good vodka, but I'll save a little bit to have straight later //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Just so all of you know (especially college party kids), and this might just open your life up to a whole new world...

The Brita thing does work.

Very well. Very very.

It might not be the *best* idea or the most elitist vodka taster specialist move, but it certainly works. But after 8 times filtered, it tastes like you're drinking water.

burnett's was our weapon of choice.
