:applause:A buddy of mine was changing the wire on his welder because of some cuts in the sleeve. It is an easy fix and I have pure copper 4/0 runs for my next project.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/peace.gif.2db28b618ed8d1964ebbe2f5021d2c39.gif

luckkkyyyy
give me 50 feet free //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif...I'll even pay shipping
for how much shipping is coming from Cayman it would be cheaper to buy 4/0 gold plated copper wire

Just to be on the safe side I would at least shrink wrap any big cuts in the insulation. That would be easy to do and give peace of mind. Shorting out 4 guage would **** for the electrical system.

i wouldnt run that in a car it has been taped up a ass load of times! turn it in for scrap you will get good coin then buy some new wire...
1) We don't have anyone to buy scrap here in Cayman hence the size of the dump (or more fondly known locally as Mt. Trashmore)

2) There are 3 sections that are over 17ft that have not even a nick on them.

3) I will be shrink wraping any areas that have knicks and getting rid of the ugly as tape, then slipping it through flex sleeve.

4)Copper is copper, and if it is good on the inside I can deal with the outside

it is 4/0 not 4ga. HUGE difference!
