Hmmm ...they both reach natinal office 100 years apart and then get the Presidency 100 years apart? Holy crap!

Also, because the Prez is elected every four years, Lincoln could NOT have been elected in 1843, 44, 45, 47, 48 or 49. So, there's 7 years where maybe he was popular enough to get it ...but couldn't because it's how the system worked. Same for Kennedy.

And I'm concerned with breathing. Was Ronald Reagan particularly concerned with economics? No ...it was just the presiding issue at the time. Was Herbert Hoover concerned with war? It's what was happening.

Besides, Kennedy didn't honestly care about it. His successor (LBJ) was the one that got the Civil Rights Act of 1964 passed. A year after Kennedy was dead.

First of all, there's a 1 in 7 chance that they would both be shot on the same day.

Most public functions that the general populace will attend are on weekends. Big crowds make assassination easier.

Both men were seated and shot from behind. A head shot is the only way to reasonably assure a kill. Besides, Lincoln didn't immediately die from his wound. If his doctor had pushed in an additional 1/2", he would likely have been able to recover the bullet. Lincoln might still have died ...but not necesarily on that day.

It's called a balanced ticket. Northeasterner Kennedy (Massachusetts) got a Southwesterner (Johnson - Texas) to appeal to the other half of the country. Lincoln did the same thing with Andrew Johnson (originally NC, then Tennessee).

Booth hid in a barn, not a warehouse. He was almost burned alive, too. However, an officer saw him in there and shot him because he felt bad about Booth being roasted alive.

Oswald hid in a movie theater because he killed a police officer while leaving the book repository. The police officers who caught him had no idea he was connected to the Kennedy killing earlier in the day.

Booth was in hiding for 11 days before he was found. He was never arrested and, thus, never scheduled to stand trial.

Oswald was killed by a private citizen (Jack Ruby) two days after being arrested.

Marilyn Monroe was found dead August 5, 1962.

Unless JFK was a raging necrophile or was visiting her grave, he was most certainly not "with" Ms. Monroe a week before he died.
