your highs got louder so it prolly makes it seem like your bass isnt as loud, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

i was thinking that to but it just doesnt seem like thats it cuz i have less rattaling i my car when i put certain songs on and i can listen 2 them higher then i use 2

Yeah it sucks getting too use to a system, after a couple years of the same setup, even when your friends are still saying THAT SHITS LOUD AS FUKK and youre saying "its alright but it doesnt seem as loud as it used to"

This has happened to me before (not yet with my current setup) and a couple of my buddies who have "systems" in their cars too. I always wondered if it was due in part to me damaging my hearing from the music, getting used to it, or a combination of both. In any case, when all else fails, upgrade!

you prolly got used to the bass.
I started with one Fi q 12" and it seemed loud for a couple months then I went with 2 12"s they were good for another few months, once again got old.Next was the removal of my back seat to fit an 18" off 1.5k,it's loud i'm happy but still gettin the upgrade bug. lvl 5 18" off 4k coming soon:)

Seems time for you to add a lil more.

You have stumbled onto what is a very foreign concept here. You now have more front stage, more equal representation of the various frequencies that are present in your music. You probably have the same amount of bass but it isn't as evident to you because those other annoying frequencies that you don't need have gotten louder and are actually competing more with your bass frequencies.

Don't be scared... don't get frightened...but I'm sorry to tell you, you now have more tonal balance to your system. Don't panic though, there are cheap fixes for this problem. My best suggestion for the easiest solution is to rip out the 4 channel and put in the cheapest coaxials you can find run off the head unit. It works for alot of other people here.

try hooking up a dmm to ure electrical to see if its dropping out somewhere. also try checking the coils to. never hurts to check ure box and make sure there isnt a hole or crack where the air could be escaping

more common enough though is ure highs can keep up with it now or you are just getting used to it

4 18"s is my dream setup for daily pounding, but I have no where near the airspace to do it,couple more years i'll buy an suv and turn the subaru into a strict rally and autocross car.
