But i got a juggernaut 15 on a rf bd1000 the sub is rated for 1500wrms and could handle alot more than that anyway its a dual 1.4ohm sub and my amps puts out 1000 @ 2ohms but is able to push more wit more volts. Now i turn it on and it didnt work today and i did everything til i fig that it blew a coil on the sub dont know how or y or what could of done it but it did. The amp was only pushing a 1000wrms to it so how? by under powering it ? anyway i need to know if i can fix the sub and where to bring it and a price

Get a dmm n test coils.. If they test correct- its something w the bd

Underpowering it wouldn't kill it unless the amp was improperly setup. Sounds like you had the gains cranked, and were playing it at high volumes.

Either killed the amp, or the sub. I know those older bds will die pretty easy with low voltage.

i can tell you why

3/4 gain means absolutely nothing in terms of how much power you are getting out of it

On my old Rockford T1000 and a deck with 5v preouts. According to my DMM and a 0db test tone my amp was putting out 1k RMS at about 30% gain. So I would guestimate they you were sending a pretty nasty clipped signal at 75% gain. Especially if you also had the bass boost turned up some.
