Apparently, I cannot get 1" MDF anywhere in my town. I've been to almost every hardware store and the last one said you will not find 1" anywhere here.

3/4" is 38 a sheet.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

I guess I'll just have to use 3/4 all the way through my box and double baffle?

Its pretty hard to find. You will usually have to go to a specialty place to get it.

You can do that or try and find hdf. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

I just bought 3/4 for $25. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I used to get them from time to time when I worked in the veneer industry. And the best part, it was free! To bad I don't work there any more. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Ply wood is a //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif.

You can try Birch, or you can just double up on 1/2" all around.
