if you put subs and amps in it, then its just a giant noise box, not a cooler, thats why i refrained from subs and an amp, plus it would die alot faster, it very well it possible but would take some planning and test and fail. could use internals from amp and water proof it but then again need it cooled, and the battery would be a problem, unless you had one specially made that was lining the bottem of the cooler

have you looked into solar panel arrays? they should be perfect if you layer the top of the cooler lid. Also, you can get laptop batteries and build a false bottom. then make a mold to line the inside cooler to be leak proof. Becarefull with resin and other chemicals, considering that you will be eating and drinking from it. As for your speakers, get some epoxy sealant and apply a thing layer to the speakers. Maybe get shollow mount speakers? As for a head unit, closer to the bottom the better. I like the idea. reminds me of the Ryobi construction radio box.
