I recently had a bad accident that didnt involve me getting hurt but the other person did, it was just very bad to say the least. and to get my mind off of things a friend of mine said, "why dont we built a tight *** cooler for senior week", so there it was 2AM and we happily went shopping at walmart, bought a cheap jvc head unit, some cheap pioneer 6" coaxials (4) and i had my mind set for a few days. Started the cooler on tuesday and "finished" on saturday first week in june, the day before we left for senior week. The object was to make all the electronics ice proof so it could be used as a cooler as well, the water proofing was the part that took so long, and it ended up that we never put ice in it because i was just really iffy about eveything being for sure sealed, needless to say, it needs perfecting but hey, it worked as a top dollar boombox and one day will hold ice.

total cost of cooler was around $250

there wasnt marine stuff available at the particular moment when i wanted to buy the stuff so i went with some normal speakers.

the pics arent what i did to complete it, the cooler is at my friends, he drove to the beach so ill post a pic of what my pretty much finished but perfection needed product was

It's awesome but...how do you power it?
like i said, i didnt realize i didnt have a pic of finished product untill after i wrote up the whole thread so i figured i'de post what i had, its ran by a power wheels battery, sealed off, for the most part and last all day on the beach about 6 or 7 hours before battery is to low to power it.

*power wheels battery not hot wheels

That's pretty slick man, I like it. Your going to be tearing up that battery though, most car batteries aren't meant to be drained...(assuming it's a car battery, I have no idea what a "power wheel" is)
