I am just wondering how wiring works... I understand the concept of having the proper gauge wires and sometimes bigger wires for better sound, but I am confused by the car audio aspect.
In a home theater setup the speaker wires goes straight to receiver, but in a car audio setup I am not sure where it is suppose to go, but it seems like the options are either to the car manufacturers connector or to the car stereo receivers connector.
My first question would be which one are you suppose to splice into?
My second question would be about the wiring on these connectors. They appear to be between 18-22 gauge. I would guess 20, but I am usually wrong, soooo... ;-)
If the base connection are these smaller gauge wires, what good does it do to hook up these larger 10-14 gauge wires to these smaller gauge wires?
Thanks for tolerating my perhaps obvious question!
