It's not legal because stupid people abuse it. It's nice to smoke a bowl at night with some friends after a long day of work. If you've never tried it, then you really have no room to say what it does to you. I smoke every once in awhile and by all means it just makes me feel good. It doesn't make me retarded or anything of that sort.

Alcohol is MUCH worse then marijuana. You can totally function when you're high. Being drunk people can get violent and you can't function. If anything, they should make marijuana legal and alcohol illegal. But, that will never happen.

It's basically legal in Canada. They even have stores that sell pot in Canada.

The US wouldn't be able to handle the legalization of marijuana. It would def. be out of control and people would abuse it horribly.

And no, I'm not no lazy asshat that smokes all day. Although, I am lazy, I've always been. But, I do work monday-friday and go to school, so I guess I'm somewhat productive.

i dont smoke anymore, but i do understand the whole legalization thing (only when compared to alchohol/tobacco). alcohol IS worse for the human body than marijuana. ive done quite a bit of research on this. while pot has more carsinogens than tobacco, and therefor is more dangerous and unhealthy, its not smoked as often as tobacco. and neither tobacco or weed are as damaging as liquor (not beer/wine), hard liquor. while ANY alcohol is bad for you, liquor does serious damage much quicker. so in a fair world, alcohol (or at least liquor) should be illegal if weed is, but lifes not fair.
