Thanks for reading.
My bride and I drive a truck for a living. Specifically, a 2006 Sterling Acterra. Has a 2-din opening.
Truck has an absolute garbage stereo now. The last time I replaced a vehicle's stereo, it had a cassette player in it. The one before that, an 8-track.
Here is what I'm looking for:
-Single DIN (want to save other space for CB radio)
-DVD player (need to send signal from satellite dish)
-Bluetooth (crucial for hands-free calling)
-Sirius ready. We have an external Sirius tuner now, plugged into the 'audio in' jack
-Tilt screen, with adjustable tilt locations (the way the stereo opening sits, we have to air down our seats to view. Not comfortable/safe)
I know we'll have to buy a separate Sirius tuner. We have a lifetime subscription, so I'm hoping it's something that can be used for different systems. I'm going to need a suggestion on that, as well.
External/remote microphone. Noise is higher than in a car. The closer we can get the mic to our head is much better. What kind?
I realize the above is a bit of a tall order....at least I think.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
