I saw it last night and it totally wasn't what I was expecting. I really don't know if I can say it was good or bad lol, my other 2 friends who went with me all had the same impression, 100% straight down the middle. Neither good nor bad. Honestly I was very interested in it with all the hype and stuff and there were quite a few good parts but just overall was completely different then what I thought and just didn't make me wanna see it again like previous movies have. Seems like a lotta people love it though, and then there is a bunch like me who are just meh.

like why that one psycho monster stepped out into the light, and why the monsters had the monster dogs on a leach (sp). and that big monster guy for some reason had it out for will. like at the end when he shoved everyone out of the way so he could get to him. etc
and how that lady that saved will actually did it? IT WAS DARK OUT!!!

My whole theory on that I think the big monster guy at the end and such leading the pack is the same one that stepped out into the light. The female one Will snagged was actually that monsters girlfriend or whatnot. See it all makes perfect sense now. Saturday night, my wife and I had our first "date night" in close to 5 months, and have not been out to see a movie in a theater in over a year. These nights are very few and far between when you have a small child and not the extra money to hire a baby sitter, making the value of this night high for us. So, I begrudgingly pay the $10 a ticket for I am Legend. We get there with some time before the start, grab two seats 3/4 the way up dead center with screen. During the 28 minutes of previews, there were 4 teenagers sitting right behind us, narrating each one in the lowest form of English I have been around, and shuffling and kicking the seat back with out apologizing once. My wife started to get really pissed, but hoped they were only going to be that way during the previews. I was wrong, they continued to talk and bump the back of the seat. After enduring 40 minutes of their incessant disregard for anyone else around them that paid to watch the movie and not be subject to their constant narration, my wife turned and asked them "Guys could you please stop talking?" As soon as she turned back around I hear "who da **** does she think she is", "I am not listening to dat biztch". Infuriated I stood up and at full volume I stated "We are leaving now", and grabbed her hand and walked right to the manager and got a replacement ticket. I am astounded that this behavior is accepted and no one does anything about it.

 

Note: This is not a racist attack at all, this is me angry that I did not get to watch this movie on the rare chance we were able to go to a movie theater.

yea thats just plain stupid, I wonder sometimes about people. Its astonishing how disrespectful and ignorant they can be at times, and generally the time time thinking they themselves deserve respect, had the tables been turned those guys probably would have waited maybe 30 seconds before demanding that you guys shut the f up or something instead of asking politely as your wife had done.

This is the very reason that I will never go to a newly released movie on a Friday or Saturday night. that blows denim...you have more control than i do. When my wife and went to see blackhawk down at the theater, pretty much the same scenario as yours except the kids were totally disrespecting the rangers who were being portrayed. Not many know or do they believe me when i say that i was in Somalia when the events of the movie transpired....so i took extreme offense to the comments being made but emotionally i was unable to speak at the time. My wife turned around and said "have some ****king respect, these are real people this movie is about" and one of the pricks says "yeah like you know any of them bytch". Right about the time he got the "ch" sound in bytch, i had him by the throat and told him if i hear another word, i'll kill all 3 of them. They left, with one of them in tears and we watched the rest of the movie in peace.

Nothing racist about it, thats just plain dumb for ANYONE to act like a bunch of little fools. Just disrespectful. I dont know why some just have to live upto certain stereotypes.

I took a few of my younger cousins to a movie last night, and found myself trying HARD not to go off on some moron 2 rows down. just got back from the movie with my girl, we both enjoyed it. i don't really get jumpy, but my girl jumped at every jumpy scene.

I really like the movie.. it wasnt bad for teh fresh prince but my only complaint is that it was a lil too short and kinda jumped around to much.....
