A little while ago I posted about system ideas, people liked the choice with SPX components... well those are a bit too, shall we say, ****ing expensive for me right now.

A friend of mine has a pair of orion comps he never used and will sell me, xtr 6.2's for 100 bucks, little less probably. Is this a good deal and are these ok comps? I'm still getting a 7892 HU, a USX 50x2 amp for the comps, and a type r 10 with jbl 300.1 (considered a shiva with jbl 180.2 (360 rms @ 4 ohm), thoughts?). Always open to completely different ideas.

I have seen those Orion speakers go new for around $100. They sound pretty good to me. Not my first choice, but the price seems decent.

I would get a single Shiva...and send it between 300 and 400 RMS. 300w is nearly perfect.
