Did you only change the internals?
nG
heres a cliffnotes rundown of what has been changed since my 160.5

added 3rd amp

added more runs of 1/0 gauge (8 total now, more to come)

made the floor more solid in the ext cab(was a false floor //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif)

resined the box finally,

added another layer of wood to back of the box

added another layer to my port and finally glued and screwed it all in. (used to be just screwed in and relied more on the threaded rod to hold it in place)

added pieces to my dividers

secured the box down much much better

ran more speaker wire. never have enough lol

replaced old shitty edead ue, with the new hotness aka damplifier pro:)

painted truck. very shitty job i may add haha.

rims go on tomorrow

Have you metered it since you have done all this extra work??? Should be good for a db or two, in a perfect world four:)

Rims and paint gotta be good for a 7db increase

I like reading all this, good info here.

I didnt read, but whats the goal for the score?
its kinda high. but i want at least a 163.5 before finals. still have a few tricks up my sleeve before then so it may happen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ok l i kinda have a lil peak into reconing a woofer. not trying to make it look like a tutorial as i left out some crusical pics, but enjoy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the woofer

gotta cut her ese

SSPX1809.jpg

these woofers have a spider hold down ring. and in order to get to it, i need to get this cone out of the way

cut out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thats what the coil looks like. in mint condition. but i needed to change impedences

the subwoofers gap..

SSPX1812.jpg

this part is important and i didnt take good pics, but the coil needs to be shimmed until it is very tight and barely moveable up and down. this prevents the coil from rubbing the top plate

SSPX1804.jpg

haha i just cant get this pic size right LOL. too small now too big...oh well

i happen to use basketball cards as my shims. they work awesome lol.

ok...well got the first part of the recone on...now it just needs to dry.

next we move on to the cone....

make sure you have all your solder joints on the inside of the cone, push her down and apply a good amount of glue around the cone to former joint.
