HUGE poker dispute, which hand wins?

We're having a poker tournament at my house and we are having a bit of a dispute.

One of my balsy friends went all in on a flush, I also had a flush and matched him.

Q94 of hearts was the river (only heart cards)

I had J3 hearts

he had 57 hearts

Which hand would win in this circumstance? We have poker rules that interpret this which say "to determine which flush wins, if there are more than one in a hand, then the person with the highest card IN THEIR HAND wins.

We're having a dispute because I have the J (the higher card) in my hand and he believes it should be a split pot. What should it be?

Your call
