As stated right above your post its not always going to just push in. Also I dont recommend doing that. What you need to do is either cut out or reshape the plastic with a heat gun/hairdryer so its no longer in the way of the cd player.

i seem to have this same problem with my h/u it just sits about a 1/4" out of the dash kit doesn't even lock into the sleeve.......alpine cdm-9821 in my 94' blazer.......can i just get a different dash kit for it or will i have to modify it?.......ill get pics up tommorow if needed

easy cars to put a hu in and you still cant do it?

i think there is actually some plastic back there you can cut out, then it will slide in.

what kind of cd player because i have a 93 concorde which is the same dash you have and it fits just fine make sure the wires are tucked in you can tuck them down and make sure hu cage thing is clicked in the dash kit

i dremeled the back thing.. i cut a half circle but i cant get in the to cut the bottom part because the angle. i wander what i should cut it with.

yea, i got 6 rcas making it harder. minimal wires and i dun kno what everyone means about the cage... cut one of the pin things off the dash kit and it gets closer and i screwed it in and the trim dont go on i think i need to cut another part off of it and it might work.

the cage is the metal sleeve that the hu clips into

Well I tried to help you the right way. You just ported your heat and AC into the radio. That means more dust and dirt going to the CD lense.
