HU turning on and then cutting off right away...

Just got my car back from getting inspected at the shop and getting a couple minor things fixed... now my HU will turn on right when my car does and only has enough time to scroll the word "Alpine" before it cuts off again. Turn the car off, then back on... same thing...

Any idea what's wrong?

That same thing was happening to my car when the alt was bad. Check your voltage with a DMM with the car running. If it is below 13 then I would think your alternator is bad maybe.

Wow, the craziest thing my headunit was doing that last night when i was driving it home. If you read the thread i posted here today, my battery was toast and i got a new one now everything is fine. Probably a battery, alternator, or possibly even a bad ground somewhere.

I had it grounded temporarily to a really loose bolt near where the amplifiers are... while moving the seat to see what equipment was hidden back there, the guys at the shop knocked the ground loose a little... honestly, I can't blame 'em for looking, I would do the same... just a message that I need to go ahead and get that ground figured out.
