me and my friend bought a cheap cd player from this dude to put in our mud truck. Its an older jvc, and everything is in chinese. does anyone know what the problem is?

Two ways to look at this situation....

1) You are the problem....you can't read Chinese.

or

2) Go out and find a new one. I think that would fall under the catagory of the head unit being from out of town......WAY out of town.

I know its not much help, but there is really not much you can do for your problem.
