HU puts out 6v, amp has a max input of 2.5V Is this gonna be a problem?? 20-30hz??

Im looking to buy an audiopipe aqx3500, but it says its input voltage is .25 - 2.5 volts, my pioneer deck i believe has 6v outputs.

Is that gonna be a huge problem will it not work??

The specs also say on 20-30hz frequency range? Is that wrong??

O.P. it will be fine, My deck had 8v and the amp was something like 3v... As RAM_Designs mentioned though, that website has a HORRIBLE reputation and has ripped off a TON of people on this site alone...

I wont be buying from the site, they just had a listing for the amp

I just wanted to make sure the thimg would even function proberly with my preouts being over the max.

Also what is the frequency response only 20-30 for??

That sounds like they were too stupid to distinguish "Frequency response" and "Adjustable subsonic filter" and put the subsonic filter frequencies in as frequency response.. Should Be 20-250 Hz like most amps

As for 6 volt outputs, it shouldn't hurt your amp. Just tune the gains right and don't turn the volume too high on your stereo you'll be fine.

Well thats the thing I was unsure if the gain setting would even be possible if the amp maxed at 2.5V and I was giving it 6.

I figured that may make the amp clip/dirty whatever you wanna call it before even touching the gain off the lowest setting

I obviously dont know how it works

you'll be fine, i have a ac four.1 and it puts out 13 volts to my amp.

Realize that the HU is not going to put out the "advertised" voltage under any real circumstances. Most likely it is a peak voltage rather than RMS. It also requires the bass to be turned all the way up as well as the volume. The outputs are well into clipping and the level of distortion will be unbearable well before the voltage gets anywhere near 6v.

Unless you have the output gain maxed on that AudioControl unit, it isn't doing anything like 13V either. It's capable but not real-world usable.
