i've finnaly recived all my components for my first system:

Pioneer DEH-P840MP Premier H/U

Infinity Kappa 6" fronts

Kappa 6x9 rears

a Kappa perfect 12.1 dvc sub (whose amp still has to be figured out)

anyway - my question is this: i am installing this stereo into a 1968 Plymouth Fury (massive f*cker) whose electrical system is fully intact and runs great. so there are three wires for power that i have to deal with: the deck power, the ground, and the ACC connection for the ignition control. Where should i connect each of these wires?

i've poked around behind the dash for hours and i cant find where to connect the ignition and the tini fuse box is full.

any ideas would be greatly apreciated and if anyone is feeling especially generous i could use some advise on what amp i should get for that sub mentioned above.

thanks a bunch -

Power goes to the battery(Positive term)

Ground needs to be connected securly to the car frame or something connected to the car frame.

the igniton wire needs to go to some sort of 12v output..i dunno where i've never had to hook one up from that end.

get a tester that lights up when you connect it to a power sources....and turn your ignition on and start checking wires...when you find one that lights up when the ignition is on and turns off when the ignition turns off use that...u might need a relay on it depending on the drain from your cd player

sounds good to me--- how about just taping a signal from the fuse box THROUGH a relay for the ACC

yeah there should be two wires for power on ur am radio...one foe the ignition power and the other for ground....the ground will be black and the other will be the ignition wire....u should connect the ignition wire to the red wire for ur head unit, and the black to the back...as for the other wire from ur head unit(should be yellow or something) u will run a wire to ur cars fuse box in the hole that says battery....careful though when i did this i didnt disconnect the battery and i shorted out a fuse...i fixed it but u dont want to deal with it
