HU in Oldsmobile Intrigue question

I just installed an alpine 9855 in my 1998 oldsmobile intrigue and when I put the dash back together I had to take that plastic surround off of the HU so I could fit it on. I can't get it on now because the dash is funny shaped. It looks like garbage.

Has anyone installed an HU in an Intrigue? If so how did you get the surround around the faceplate.
