HU for around $200?

i would go with an 04 or an 03 model alpine head unit depending on what you get you can pick up one for around 200

Get the Eclipse, but keep in mind that you can get that model new with warranty from an authorized dealer for $229.

The preout voltage for the eclipse is higher than the alpine. Is that a good or bad thing?

Ive never experience Kenwood before except their home audio, and i really dont like it.

If you read through the thread you would see that the ground trace noise problem has been fixed under warranty. The person who made the comment about the massive RCA is not the one selling the deck. They were refering to their deck, not mine. Also the deck still has 1.5 years of warranty left.
