HU dims and keeps going out

I have a Kenwood x492 head unit

Volume goes up to 35. Max I ever do is around 27-30. Every now and then around 26 or so it turns off and turns right back on. This is really annoying when you have a CD or usb stick in the Head unit and it takes about 5 seconds to pick up where it left off. :furious:Then it resets again. Only other symptoms I can think of is that the HU dims on heavy bass notes.

Can someone give me some insight as to why my HU is doing this?

where at? In the HU?

lights dont dim. just on the HU. BIG 3, HOA and Kenetik 600 in the back. Happens even when the amp is off

Check your wiring. Not really anything else it could be. Unless the HU itself is faulty
