if you don't do ipod or xm the 8053 would be a great deck.

or the 8443 is the same thing except it has an internal amp and doesn't have the balanced outputs. they go for about $200 or less if you can find one

Pardon my ignorance, but what is time alignment?

Setting the timing of each speaker so that the sound made by the speaker reaches your ear at the same time as the others.

This means in an example that you time a speaker 10 feet away from you to reach you at the same time as a speaker only a foot away.

^ bad example, but it does work.

Ok, I've narrowed it down to 2:

a) the 880PRS... yeah yeah yeah everyone knows about it.

or

b) Clarion DXZ955MC- pretty much Clarion's top of the line. It's got everything the PRS has, except its only got a 3-band EQ...
