i wouldnt even worry about 2 different ports with that design. make it strictly for daily use. design is crap for spl

I'm not really interested with tinkering with an spl box for this car. Since I'll be in usac, having a wall in a small car like this is useless when I'll be going up against vans with 8 15's and 40kw. This is just more for fun, so I'll throw in a shorter port for some burps just for the hell of it, to see what it does.

That's where I got the idea from, and I really like it since it kills my port troubles I've been having. I'm really anxious to see how retarded your setup is for next season. I can't believe you already ripped your old stuff out...you're crazy man.

How about sonotube ports? 2 12's would fit there, possibly even bigger I can't tell, 2 12's would be 226 sq in of port though, 2 14's would be 307 sq in, I think they'd look alot nicer and be more unique that way, probably somewhat louder, plus the ability to change tuning as much as you like, just throwin that out there

The only problem I have with sonotubes, and with me wanting to do interchangable ports, is that it seems like it'd be a hassle attaching them to a piece of MDF that'll fit over the front baffle, overlapping the hole by about 1" all around. And having that connection be strong enough to withstand the wear and tear of daily use. With a plain ol' slot port it's a breeze since there's nice, flat joining points.

What kind of issues? Subs and port are on the same plane...or are you referring to the corners inside the box causing issues?
