I'm thinking 8 10's is the way to go...lots of cone area, and d4 subs will let me run a good 3kw amp at .5ohm for pleanty of power(for now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sneaky.gif.7189749b3a3f769e8815b47e8ae87f88.gif) This design allows me to do interchangable ports for daily and burping.

Just the front baffle, obviously.

Any suggestions for subs? I've been thinking some of the new RE SR's(cheap on ebay), IA 187's, maybe AQ SD2's...I'm trying to think of some good 10's that'll work well off of 400-500 watts a piece.

I like that baffle design..looks neat.
I kinda stole it from John Carr when I saw his Punisher van last weekend...except he had 8 15's instead of 10's...and about 5 times the power I'll be using. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Looks just like the front of Carr's box and we all know how loud it was //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I think it just might work //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Do It!

8 10's isn't much more than 2 18's or 3 15's, 5 12's is more, can you fit 6 12's?

I think I can fit 5 12's, but not 6. If I fit 6 I have a hard time getting enough port area. I just like the idea of more smaller woofers instead of a pair of 18's, even though I can get some solid 18's for less than 8 good 10's.

I also have a problem with port placement when doing a pair of 18's since my box depth is limited until I need to narrowe the boz to 34". With the port in the middle, I don't need to worry about bending a port(s) around the wheel well(s).
