hows my frontstage look?

Dont listen to James he knows nothing about SQ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

why would you put 6x9's and 6.5's up front and both being coaxial's .....im missing the part about sq.

for about the same price you could of picked up some sick mids and nice tweeters and gone active.

Yeah dude, the 6x9's and the coax's will never cut it. If you are on a budget grab a set of Pheonix Gold RSD's off of E-Bay, and call it good.

From there, if you are trying to get SQ out of the install, take the money you were going to spend on the 6x9's and put that towards a bunch of sound deadner, cause you're going to have to deaden your doors.

From there, if you plan out the speaker placement it should sound half descent.

well 6x9 is what fits into my doors so i had to stick with em... i have 2 tweeters already installed up front and im going to be adding 2 10" RE SL's sealed when they come out.

6x9 in front door factory spot

6.5 in back factory spot

just go with what you planned. experience is where knowledge comes from. but just know this is far from a real sq setup. this is just daily driver like. but if your interested in sq, theres plenty to be learned on other forums, like ssa, diyma, ect.

but you can always make adaptors to fit different size speakers in the factory holes.

yeah like i said im 17 im inexperienced and i wanted to keep it cheap for my 1st thing... nothing crazy and i figured this would be the close i could get to SQ wise by using factory doorspeaker spots with the 6x9's and 6.5's... can u atleast say i made the right choise for wut my position is :p so i can feel good about my decision

lets just say, you should ask for reviews or peoples opinion on things before you buy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif then if its a bad choice or not, someone will point you in the right direction at least. but if you had a listen to them and liked em. then thats what matters.

Doesn't look very good to me and I'm not going to lie to make you feel better about your uneducated and rushed decision. I would have ditched the 6x9s and used some MDF spacers to mount a decent set of components. A nice active setup can be cheaper than what you spent, could sound far better, and would have given you tuning experience.

Sorry dude. Can't say it was the best way to go. I'm sure it will sound fine for you, but there were many better options for you. Like buying a cheap $30 jig saw, and rounding up a chunk of MDF, so you can build a baffle that will hold the 6.5" component from the Pheonix Gold RSD's. It would have sounded way better, and gotten you started on the building lines. Actually, if you already have a set of tweets installed in the front, you could have used them, and bought a nicer 6.5" driver to run the mids, and mounted them with the baffles you built above.

That's ok man. If you're only 17, good for you getting a start. Get the experience of installing this equipment, and you can build up from there.

It would be a good idea to spend a lot of time in the install threads on here to give you an idea of how you should properly install the equipment.
