How would I do this?

Well first of all, I am a DJ and I have a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I am looking to install a system to it. (Subwoofers, tweeters/speakers)

What I am wanting to do, if its possible, is to put a few woofers in my trunk, along with my turntables, however; that's not it. I want to know if it's possible to also install a few speakers/tweeters in the back so that the highs will get transferred as well.

However, is it possible to have a switch or a separate AMP to turn the speakers/tweeters/subs on when I was DJ'n in the back, and keep them off but keep the subs on while i was driving?

Does anyone know if this is possible? How would I do this...?

Thanks,

Dylan

Uhh...what?
Haha, sorry, but I've never done anything with car audio. I currently have the stock system...

Essentially, you'd buy a head unit with three RCA outputs. One set will be run to an amplifier for your speakers up front. Another set will be run to an amplifier in the back (Your DJ Setup). You could also buy a single four channel amp and accomplish the same thing. The third set will be run to the subwoofers.

You'll be able to "fade" between the front and the rear speakers that way while leaving the substage untouched.

@ pizza - I do not plan to accomplish this myself at all, if I was to do so I would start with something smaller.

@ SSS - I was more able to understand that, hah. Thanks for all the help. Now I will be able to explain to the engineer what I would like to have done.

Thanks,

Dylan

An engineer? This isn't going to be a real complicated wiring job.If you can hook up dj equipment, you should be able to manage this. Well I don't consider it complicated at least.

check out some wiring diagrams of how to wire up car audio systems with amplifiers and you'll see this is an easier hookup than wiring up a serato box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

So, it is easy? Haha alright I'll look into it.

I was wondering if it was as easy as hooking the laptop, turntables, mixer, and 2 powered speakers and a mic up. I guess it is...

Haha, thanks guys!
