How will I know if I have.......PORT NOISE?

I found a good port calculator that calculated 2.4 cubes at 30 hertz with a round 2 inch diameter and 2.46 length.

My Question is that will I recieve port noise from a round port, i'm most likely going to get a plastic port off crutchfield that is in 2 in diameter and 2.5 in length for 2 dollars.

I already have a nice carpeted 2.4 cu box with

13" depth,20"width,16"height - that's why i'm going with a round port and not a slot.

Can anybody with port experience help me out on this one.

how will I get port noise, is it because the diameter is almost the same as the length, please explaine why?

well u need more port area. thats just too small of a port. try around a 3 inch port that is 8.8 inches long. most people use pvc pipe for it. that should do u good. idk if thats enough but i'm pretty sure that will be better.
