How to wire speakers to run off 2ch amp

If I want to get a 2 channel amp to power only the 2 front speakers, how would I wire everything? Where would be the best place to put the amp if this is in a pickup truck?
wire the same as any other amp......power in, ground, remote, and speaker's attach to the amp respectively

;)If you don't want to mess with it yourself, you can have it professionally installed for probably $40-60 in about an hour.

If you want to do it yourself and this is your first install, plan on a few hours. Make sure you put a fuse in the power wire within 18" of the battery. The power wire should be sufficient size for the amp. The RCA's should be run down one side of the truck and the power/remote down the other. Make sure you have a good solid ground and not to a painted surface. Make sure the ground wire is at least the same size as the power wire. Remote wire (blue) connects to back of head unit (CD player). RCA's connect to head unit as well unless you have the stock stereo, if you do, you have to buy a line converter and that is a whole nother set of instructions. As for hooking up the front two speakers, you can either run speaker wire from the amp directly to the speakers, or you can run it to the head unit and then cut and splice into the factory wiring which already runs to the speakers.

Amp can be mounted under seat or against back wall, but it is typically best to have at least an inch or two of clearance so the amp has ventilation.

good luck!
