How to use a DMM to find out whats wrong with an amp....

I got a DMM, i also have two amps that arnt working :blow_up: :blow_up: :blow_up: :blow_up: :blow_up: :blow_up: What should i test? Resisters? caps? etc. And if im not getting the right reading or a different one then all the others, how do i replece them? Well first place to start is finding what burnt out.

Smell around on the board...resistors let of a nice smell when they burn out...caps well generally split but its under instalation so you may not see it.

Look for small burn marks on the board itself or on the diode.
