alright kinda new at the tuning thing..... i know gain you can only turn it up so much before it clips and clipping is bad..........

what do you do with a subsonic filter and stuff like that

i have to 15inch memphis mojos box tuned to street bass.....

should i even use the bass knob?

Set the subsonic filter to half of your box's tuning frequency - usually 15hz - 20hz. For the low pass filter, 80hz is the generic answer - you would go higher or lower depending on how low your mids can play and your own personal taste.

Stay away from the bass boost.

What does "tuned to street bass" mean? That doesn't tell us anything at all lmao

For the gains setting, there are all sorts of How-To threads over the internet. I like to set mine by ear - turn the gains all the way down, then, while listening to a variety of music on a high quality CD, turn the volume knob on your headset to as high as it will go before distorting (75%-85% usually), then start turning up your gain knob until the subwoofer starts to distort, then back it down a bit, and you're done.

use a DMM and a tone and set it to 120 volts, i believe thats right before they start clipping. Ill check on that. Make sure your sub can handle all that power though, anything before 120 should be fine.

He means daily, some people will go into a little clipping for burps or comps. He wants something he can pound at before it blows.

Ahhh, ok. I thought he meant the box was tuned to some frequency called "street bass," not that he wanted the amp itself tuned for street bass. Gotcha.

on my deck i can set me mids to 200hz
Are you running aftermarket component speakers with crossovers?

Then i might be thinkin of a different amp, like i said, let me double check that.
Also got the sony today. Fuck you and your styrofoam. Looks good enough for me to sell the truck with.
LOL... you like that shit? Got there nice and safe didn't it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

It mightve been 80 then, that looks right going by your chart.
The stryofoam is all stuck to the amp = (

stuck to it? did you warm it up? I know when I got my intercooler the styrofoam was froze to it and after it sat in the house for a couple hours it came right off. I was going to wrap it in plastic first but I just plain forgot. I packaged like 6 things that night and I was pretty burnt out... Sorry man
