If the relationship is serious enough to warrant the promise of fidelity, it's serious enough to honor said promise. Such promises are meant for the times when you aren't "happy" or "satisfied". Otherwise the promise of fidelity is nothing more than a promise to do what you want to do. (ie "I promise to be faithful unless I don't want to be faithful...Then I'll betray you.") I would think less of myself for not keeping my word and the guilt would eat me alive.

On the other hand, when I was single, I was single. And I wouldn't lose any sleep over what I did with who. I wouldn't lie about it. But if I wasn't asked, I wouldn't even bring it up.

To answer the OP, I guess you just have to come out and admit it. (Preferably in a private situation.)
