No doubt, Fck spending $100+ on something you wont use but maybe twice a year.

I normally use a battery and pop the speaker to see if i have the correct polarity. I can sell you a tool for 99cents, go to dollar store buy a 9v battery and start speaker popping lol.

That works for woofers, but it won't tell you squat about tweeters.

if it was wired correctly the first time, positive has the writing on it and neg has nothing.(thats how i was taught)

In car audio sometimes you would want your speakers wired backwards...hence absolute/relative phase

As long as both speakers are hooked up the same way poliarity shoudn't matter as they will both be in phase with each other.

You can wire the tweeters in phase with each other, but out of phase with your midranges.

Finding the correct +/- is the way to go, then wire them either in phase or out of phase depending on what your setup calls for.

I've never heard a system that sounded better with the tweeters phase reversed.

Everyone seems to be able to find someone with a SPL meter, that costs >$1200, yet does nothing for your sound (just your ego). Why can't you find someone that has a $100 phase tester that can actually improve your sound.

why cant you just check the other tweeter to see how its wired for + and -
