How to strap 2 AQ2200ds

I am who you think I am
I keep looking at this diagram in the book and i wanna make sure it's correct.

I have 2 Dual 2 ohm HDC312s.

As of right now, i have each 12 wired in series, so each one is 4ohm nominal.

According to the diagram, i am suppose to already have a load of 2ohm going into the amp rather than 4 ohm.

I thought that the 2 + and the 2- were bridged internally... am i wrong?

So am i suppose to finish the wiring and go ahead and splice both subs together, getting a 2ohm load, then once i connect them, take more wire and jump over to the other + terminal as well?

Or am i just suppose to take the subs as is right now independently in series and run all 4 wires to the amp and it will bridge it down into 2 ohms for me?

Hook both positives together and both negatives together on the subs now. That should give you your 2 ohm load (check with dmm to be sure). Then on your amp connect the two negatives with a jumper. Use the positive terminals on the master amp for positive to subs, the positives on your slave amp to negative on your subs.

DJ actually said the same thing but also said they were joined together internally...

So, just to make sure, when they were both in series separately, i ran each sub to it's own terminal.

So, master and slave's negative terminals joined together.

Then both subs positive wires going to master and both subs negative wires going to positive terminals on slave.

I whipped out the DMM and hooked the probes up.

Positive probe on negative terminal on master.

Negative probe on negative terminal on slave.

Result - 0.0 ohms = good.

Positive probe on positive terminal on master.

Negative probe on positive terminal on slave.

Result - 1.4 ohms = good.

I did this with the other terminals and they registered 1.4 ohms as well.

So, they are internally bridged so i need not run all that wire through 1 terminal or join all the wires first then have 1 main lead going into amp with a jumper.

I thought that was how to do it but now i know for sure.
