So What is goign to be the best way to Soundproof the interior of my f250 Diesel?

Baicly I want to eliminate road noise, and as much of my diesel Noise as possible?

I dont think a deadener is goign to be as important as perhaps a absorber?

good luck with that, my old 86 6.2 liter diesel suburban had more bass in the engine/exhaust than most systems

but my best idea would be to strip out the interior then just go crazy with sound deadener... make sure to get all up where the pedals are up to the dash to silence that engine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I used a 18" Fi Q and its working really well. Otherwise its almost impossibe it eliminate road noise. Yours is probably a little easier than mine so id just do lots of deadener. You probably wana make sure you use deadener that can handle lots of heat.

It wasn't a noisy ford diesel but my POS tin can S10 was hella noisy stock. I did two layers of deadening mat on the floor/firewall/backwall, covered that with a layer of thermozite and then went back in with the stock rubber backed carpet. It made an amazing difference.

Other than going crazy with the deadening my only other suggestion would be getting a duramax //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I gots me a F350, and I plan on putting two layers of deadener from the firewall back. It should knock down most of the noise. There is also some talk of wrapping the turbo and exhaust with a ceramic blanket to keep the heat inside. That will cut down some noise too.

I dont think mats are going to be what I need as thats just mass loading, and doesnt stop outside noise.

I need something for the doors like egg crate and then something for the floors not so thick.

I have no experience with f350s, but I have heard some guys on a porsche forum that I frequent talk about how wrapping the turbo somehow directs more of the turbo whine into the cabin, so wrapping the turbo on the f350 might not help, but then again it may - like I said I have direct experience with the f350s. Here is one thread I could find about it: http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=291816&highlight=swain
