How to reset a Grand Am computer

My "low coolant" light is on. I'm trying to figure out how to reset the computer so the light will go off. I'm hoping that'll fix the problem, but I might have to replace the sensor too. Any sugestions on what to do - and if you know how and have reset a computer for one - tell me how you did it. It's a 94 GAGT btw incase you need that.

disconnect your positive battery terminal for 30-60 minutes, then let me know if that worked or not

I'll do that tonight once I stop driving around.

I guess there's another way:

Turn the engine over, push the pedal to the floor 3 times (floored, idle, floored, idle, etc) and then turn the car off. After that - restart the engine. It's supposed to restart the computer but I can't get it to work.

^^ive never heard of that technique. my uncle told me to disconnect my batt. when my check engine light was on, didnt work for me because my egr valve wasnt opening so everytime i start the car the light comes on in 5 minutes. but it should work for you unless your coolant is low

The coolant is above the line that it's supposed to be. The people that had it before me said they took it in and everything and the light just never would go off. I'm guessing the computer being reset might do the trick.

there should be 2 lines,a hot coolant, and a cool coolant line, which one are you reading, the hot one is closer to the top and is where the coolant should be when the engine is hot

Yea Do The Bat......when I Replaced The Tps In My Caprice I Left It Dissconected For Like 20 Min...it Worked...
