How To Remove Damplifier?!?

Your pretty much screwed, even if you do get it off it most likely will not stick as well and not be as effective as before.
ehh i cant justify not taking it off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i can always put it on my floorboards on the CRX

i really just dont wanna buy more damplifier //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I knwo what you mean, it sucks to know all the money that is basically going to waste, but its a ***** to remove. You can try using a heat gun to get it hot and maybe a putty knife to scrape it off.

I might suggest gloves to keep it from burning your hands your going to need to get it pretty **** hot.

Im not even sure if this method will work btw just something to try

ASFAIK, any deadening material is a permanent modification to the vehicle, and should be left alone.

I know the eD haters will be chiming in, but it's true. You deaden your vehicle, it should be permanent. Not something to be removed when the vehicle is sold.

You want to remove the stuff, that's between you and the person purchasing your vehicle. I personally would use that as an "upsale" point when negotiating a purchase price.

You cheap ***

Great thread to reference for those who like to think "deadener" is deadener in terms of adhesion properties and effectiveness.

It's not going to come off because is it's not supposed to.

You'll have to buy more.

Just leave it in the car. I have Damplifier in my car. No way its coming off. Ever.

If you dont wanna buy more Damplifier, just put a bunch of Peel N Seal on the floorboards of your new car. Doesnt work as well, but its cheap as heck.

hard bladed putty knife, get scrapin'

it can't be any harder than the numerous floors i have scraped at work.

get acetone and after you have a edge up, put some under the edge and get scrapin'.

Don't use thinner, acetone shouldn't hurt the paint though. either way, its under panels and carpet so who cares. maybe do a test spot.
