I always wanted to build my own setup for my pc and all these build threads makes me want to even more //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

But i was wondering how would i go about powering a pc setup?...a plate amp? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

By the way if it matters i need around 30w x2 @ 8ohm and 60-80w x1 @ 4ohm.

If you want to keep cost down but want a considerable amount of power, try finding an old 2ch stereo receiver from a goodwill or something if you have the space.

Basically, you bought something like this...
http://cgi.ebay.com/KLH-Powered-Sub-Woofer-Vintage-Speaker-Model-PSW8-100_W0QQitemZ300157725230QQihZ020QQcategoryZ50597QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I almost started a thread identical to this, so i will be following this closely.
thats the exact one I have lol. The amp does good, I have it hooked to 2 12's at 4 ohms and its way more than enough for my room.

edit- I took the woofer out of the box and I have bigger magnets on my refrigerator

The OP should jump on that - its only at ~$23
