How to power speakers for a computer?

By the way if it matters i need around 30w x2 @ 8ohm and 60-80w x1 @ 4ohm.

If you want to keep cost down but want a considerable amount of power, try finding an old 2ch stereo receiver from a goodwill or something if you have the space.

you can either use a plate amp or go through a reciever like you would on an HT setup.

I use an 2ch receiver I found on ebay. They are cheap, nobody wants them, everyone wants 5.1. Then I found a powered sub on ebay, a KLH with a 150w plate amp, had a blow woofer. Bought it for $40 just for the amp.

I almost started a thread identical to this, so i will be following this closely.

thats the exact one I have lol. The amp does good, I have it hooked to 2 12's at 4 ohms and its way more than enough for my room.

edit- I took the woofer out of the box and I have bigger magnets on my refrigerator
