How to power 6 speakers?

If you are going to wire multiple speakers into each channel on the amp then yes they all have to be the same impedance.

If not each speaker will have to have an impedance compatible with the amp specs.

Mixing impedance will give different output levels and will cause the amp to clip

2 components front 2 rear 2 reardeck. Do they all have to have the same impedance? Can the front be 2 ohms and the rear 4 speakers be 2 ohms wired in series to equate 4ohms?
Question is ..What ohm load are each set of speakers, and are you using an amplifier or just a head unit, and if so, what model of amp or Head unit, and what speakers to give you a better answer of your questioning along with all model #s and brand of speakers/ect.

i have a zeus 1016.4. I current have 4 2 ohms speakers. I was wondering if i can wire 4 2ohm speakers in series on 2 channels to create 4ohm load and a pair of speakers that ARE 4 ohms to the remaining 2 channels.

No they don't but they probably are the same impedance. Speakers are generally very standardized impedance.

Not necessarily. Depends on how the speakers are connected and what the amp is capable of, and most importantly how loudly you play music, etc.

He mentioned sets were all different ohm ratings?

Then you dont know if hes using a 2 channel, 4 channel, 6 channel

So lets assume he had a 4 channel then you would agree that its ok in the long run to mix impedance on each channel??

Not an expert here at all but if I am understanding u correctly you have 2 2ohm speakers up front and 4 2 ohm speakers for the rear and you want to wire the 2ohm speakers into pairs to make 4 ohms on each of the rear channels of a 4 channel amp then go the front speakers to the front channels to have 2 ohm loads on each front channel. This should work depending on the amp and if it is a 4 channel. If your speaking about doing this with a 2 channel and having unballenced loads more than likely it will not work properly and will cause damage to the amp or it will just trip into protect mode. From what I've heard alot of 4 channel amps you can have different loads on the front and rear channels depending on the amplifier and how they are setup internally because some are basically like 2 different amps inside one driving the front channels and one driving the rear so it doesn't matter to one what the others load is. Though like I said I am no expert and may be talking out my a** here. lol
