how to know if its clipping?

I fortunatly have clipping indicators on both my amps

depends on the amp. Most amps do not have a clipping light, and if they do, there will be three LED's. The power, the protection and the clipping.

yup , i thought the protection led was the clippin led.

ok sometimes when goin to high vol. the protection led turns red, and the amp stop producing sound ---->any ideas why could that happens ??
