how to hold it down?

Well my gal pal has a 2002 honda civic ex. im going to drop an arsenal in a 1.25 sealed enclosure. The total weight will be around 48 pounds if i decide to hook the amp on the back of the box. She has a plastic bin kind of surface that acts as the mdf floor. The most i could do is cut a small hole in the carpet to let the wires through. Im afraid this box is going to be sliding around. Will holding it down with some strips of velcro be enough for this?

For daily driving a few strips of velcro should keep the box from sliding around. In an accident however it may get bounced around.

im using two 1" L brackets which screw into the box then into the trunk floor to insure absolutely no sliding, velcor can come loose in time or with sudden stopping
