So my buddy blew a C2 Threatcon 2 and gave it to me for hooking up his new subs and tuning his amp. The cone was stuck and wouldnt move so I opened the woofer up and I looked at it and this is what happened:

Now, how do I go about fixing this. The motor isnt shifted, the ring that is on top of the motor has shifted.

That is a shifted motor.
Ah ok, any idea how the motor could shift while being played? cause I sold it to him and the motor shifted about 3 days after. Hasnt been taken out of the box since I got it. By box I mean a box in a car.

Big bump, high heat, probably something else I'm missing

i'm having the same issue now with my threatcon, cone locked up on first start up, could have been motor shifted when shipping occured but that was long ago, i should fking tested it right when it first shipped home, too **** late to send a ups claim now. Pretty pissed but i'm contacting chris atm to see what can be done to salvage this shietty situation. Their motor structure seems pretty susceptible to shifting it would seem. Such a shame, its a great woofer in all other aspects.
