im having a problem with my sub cutting off and when i have bass controller all the way up and the volume at 40 it would cut off when the car is on and when the car is off it would cut off at volume at around 20 i need t find a cure to this problem. please help!

noobzor

Playing with your car off can run your amp at too low a voltage and damage it. Did you set your gains with a DMM? And turn off the bass boost...

You're most likely overworkin your amp due to incorrect amp settings...

My amp is 2ohm stable, my sub is wired from... im not exactly sure since my brother is the one that did it. But from what I know my sub is 4ohm dual voice coil. My sub just started cutting off ever since I put the cadence amp (1 week ago) because when I didn't have the amp.. it did cut off a bit but not as fast as it does now. Im asumming I need more battery power or should I say a bigger alternator. Because I did notice that when I have my headlights on it cutts off at a earlier volume.

Will a capacitor help me out instead of buying another batterie because i dont have room for a different battery and if i was to have a capacitor i could plae it under the seat. If i can use a other capacitor wich one should i look into?? THNX

no a cap wont help and you do have room for another battery. i have 2 very big batteries in the back of my jimmy

NEVER use a cap. just get a kinetik 1400 under the hood and do the big 3 and you should be good to go. Also turn that gain down a bit.

so i tested the voltage...with the car on the voltage is 13.83 with the music off.with the musc on to were it starts cutting off the voltage is at 13.62 with the engine off...with the engine off the voltage is at 12.90 and with the music on to were it starts cutting off the voltage is 12.98.

the ohms readings on the dist block .0L

btw my amp is not jumping to protection when the sub cuts off the power light blinks
