How to fix my laptop??

Well about 2 weeks ago i opened up my laptop and right at the sign on screen the mouse and laptop was frozen. I took out the battery and tried to restart it to nothing at all, no change. It's still completely frozen and i have no idea why or where to begin to fix it.

I'm not too good with computers, but if someone could steer me in the right direction and help me figure out the problem a "prize" per say will be awarded for whomever helps me figure it out. Just remember that the mouse + keyboard is completely at the start screen.

I don't care about saving files on it, nothing was too important that i can't fix or re-coop. Thanks in advance for any help.

REWARDS GIVEN FOR HELP.

Press and hold your power button until it shuts off than when your turning it back on right after your computer log goes away start pressing f8 until your get a screen select safe mode and see if you can get in if you still cant the boot files need to be repaired I can go step by step with that over aim or the phone.

take off the ram cover and any others u see (after unpluged and battery removed) on the bottom of the laptop one of them should have a watch battery remove it press the power botton for a few sec put back together and try it.

Well i got to the boot menu... Which one should i click on??

Its says -

-Use the up and down keys to move the pointer to the desired boot device. Press enter to attempt the boot or esc to cancel-

Internal HDD

CD/DVD/CD-RW Drive

Onboard NIC

BIOS Setup

Diagnostics

run the diagnostics and see what happens. if that doesnt work it sound like your windows install is corrupted or your hard drive is shot.

Start it in safe mode. I think it's F8 as mentioned earlier. If that does not work, you could always do a system restore. Just insert the restore disc it came with and restart the computer.

But that would be a last resort.

It worked in Safe Mode, but as im sure u know it doesn't run normal in safe mode... I'm guessing my next option is just to clear everything out and start over??

I mean its not that big of a deal, i don't have much saved on it that i can't re-coop again.

If you can get it going in safe mode, then log in and do a system restore.

If you can get that done and your still having problems you have a software problem or a harddrive problem. My dads computer had both problems but his was still under warranty.

Best advice I can give to ya.

Well i figured it out and was much more basic than i had thought lol.... Just had to go into F8 and go to "re-boot windows from last known successful log in" or something of that nature.
