how to discharge caps?

I know that there was a tread about this a while ago but I forgot what kind of bub to get to discharge a cap. Can anyone help?

Just lay a screwdriver across the top.

a 12v test light works jsut hook it up and wait till light goes out charging can be done with a test light if you dont have the little resistor they sent with it

What is a test light? All I had to do was install the cap and it was set, I didnt have any keys to charge it.

hook the cap up to a subwoofer.

lol. no all you gotta do is pull the main fuse in your engine, turn your stereo on, wait till it stops playing (should only take a second) and then the cap will discharge all its power to power the amp. then remove it, and replace your main fuse //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Military Spec Cap Discharge Protocol

1. Lick yone finger, moisten nipple.

2. Lick other finger touch to ground.

3. Touch the pos wire to nipple.
